William Simopoulos

William Simopoulos was most recently a Development Analyst at Foulger-Pratt, a vertically integrated real estate investment in development firm focused on the Washington, DC metro market. During his nearly three years at FP, William worked on 4 multi-family deals in varying stages of the development cycle, delivering roughly 650 units to market with 350 more currently under construction. His experience on deals ranges from early acquisition and entitlement work, through design development and permitting, and culminating in construction and turnover to asset management teams. William worked under his Director to effectively execute on each project’s proforma and business plan. His day-to-day responsibilities included the management of all design consultants and construction teams, leading design, permitting and OAC meetings, project budgeting & scheduling, pay-app & draw review, securing permits, and preparing both internal and investor reports. His proudest achievement from his time at Foulger-Pratt was delivering Harwood Flats, a 335-unit multifamily building that closed on financing during his first month on the job in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and delivered on time and under budget in August of 2022. The project has nearly reached stabilization, dramatically outpacing proforma lease up projections.

William graduated from the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture with a Bachelors of Urban and Environmental Planning where he served as president of Student Council and co-founded the university’s real estate club (VUREC). William is still deeply involved with UVA’s burgeoning real estate program, the Center for Real Estate and the Built Environment.
